Having practiced law for nearly 20 years, Mark A. Stallings has developed a wide range of legal experience.  Although his current practice focuses upon domestic relations law, real estate transactions and litigation, and personal injury (including workers’ compensation), Mark is also able to provide representation on criminal and traffic matters and to assist in a broad range of business-oriented problems and issues.  Additionally, Mark has handled numerous civil litigation matters from inception through trial and on appeal.  This experience includes oral argument before the Virginia Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Virginia.

Mark’s experience includes serving as Virginia counsel for national lenders and for several insurance companies.  Before joining the firm, Mark ran his own successful practice.  He is admitted to practice before State Court of Virginia, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.

In his words, “I strive to give the best representation possible in a cost-effective way. My experience allows me to plan a strategy during the initial consultation and to then follow-through on that plan. This avoids needless expenses and wasted time.”  In Mark’s capable hands, what could be a long and arduous legal hassle becomes a streamlined process that swiftly resolves the dispute.

Having served as counsel for employers and workers’ compensation insurers for more than fifteen years, Mr. Stallings is uniquely qualified to assist injured workers with their cases.  Mark claims, “My experience has shown me that workers’ compensation cases must be prosecuted aggressively.”

Mark is a member of the Virginia State Bar and the Chesapeake Bar Association for which he has served as president-elect and president. Mark also served as a member of the Chesapeake Board of Zoning Appeals. Mark received his law degree from Regent University in 1996.  He earned his bachelor of science degree in clinical psychology from Liberty University in 1993.

Mark currently resides in Suffolk with his wife and two children. He is an active member of Collinswood Baptist Church. Most of his free time is spent attending his kids’ sporting events. When he gets a chance, he likes to hit the links to work on his swing.
